091/365
Oh dear, I have photographer's block.
I am coming up on my 100th day of the 365 Project, and have come to a bump in the road. I have to admit, I missed shooting a few days last week, and have yet to catch up - but I am lost for inspiration. What do you do when you've lost your creative flow? Do you look to favorite writers or artists or musicians for inspiration? Do you wait it out?

DIY Creativity Center
I found this beautiful and inexpensive set up for a kids' creativity center on Modern Parents Messy Kids. It only takes up a small corner of a room and neatly displays all the fun supplies that little ones need. The best part is, the really messy stuff requiring supervision, like paint, can be kept up high, kids can help themselves to items like crayons and playdough tools on the lowest shelf, and everything is out of reach for babies. Fantastic.

090/365
There were little piles of photographs lying around our home from all the times when we remembered to use the photo-quality printer and expensive paper that we bought. Some of them ended up on the fridge, some as bookmarks, some as tabletop debris. Many were destroyed by small hands or spilled beverages.
I finally gathered them together, printed out a few more from my 365 Project, and made a lovely little collage for the kids' corner of the living room. Just a little double-sided tape and 20 minutes later, Ruby was having fun searching for familiar faces of friends and family members. At least they can be enjoyed by everyone on the wall, and if small hands end up destroying them anyway, they are easily replaced.

Steven took Lily out to dinner on Monday night - a special 'Lily-Dadu' day, as she calls it. It's really fun to have any one-on-one time with either of them, and I'm sure they each love the undivided attention. The cutest part is, I notice that they both get a little bored and lonely after some time playing alone. As much as they argue sometimes, they really do miss each other. :)How to Talk to Little Girls
It's been hectic week at our house - colds, broken refrigerators, sprained ankles... But it's good to be back on the blog. I know I've had some weeks where I neglected posting before, but I feel so relieved to return today - like catching up with an old friend over tea. I missed you. :)
I just read a brilliant article by Lisa Bloom on Huffington Post and had to share it immediately. She encourages adults to model what intelligent, thinking women do - talk about thoughts and accomplishments and books, instead of the way a person looks.
