A Plague of Tiny Frogs
Our apartment building has been overrun by another plague of micro frogs, and all the girls want to do is go outside and catch them! They've gotten really good -- they pause to spot a stirring in the grass, and they stalk the tiny things and pick them up with their fingers. Give Lily 10 seconds outdoors, and she'll have one.

Simple Scones
I've made these scones with the kids a few times already, and each time they've been a quick and easy cooking activity that takes about 15 minutes to make, 15 minutes to bake, and usually results in a delightful afternoon tea party. I happened to have self-raising flour which made the prep much faster, omitting the baking soda and baking powder. The recipe calls for forming the raw dough into a flat circle and cutting into 8 triangles - I find these to be really big, and prefer baking 10-12 pieces instead. Serve with clotted cream and jam or honey. 239/365
This was the morning of their first day of school this term. We were still jet lagged from our trip and had woken up really early. The girls couldn't wait to get to school and insisted that we leave the house! So we did, we arrived 30 minutes before it opened and had a little picnic.
