I've made
these scones with the kids a few times already, and each time they've been a quick and easy cooking activity that takes about 15 minutes to make, 15 minutes to bake, and usually results in a delightful afternoon tea party. I happened to have self-raising flour which made the prep much faster, omitting the baking soda and baking powder. The recipe calls for forming the raw dough into a flat circle and cutting into 8 triangles - I find these to be really big, and prefer baking 10-12 pieces instead. Serve with clotted cream and jam or honey.
