these almost every day for a year. The schools that I went to when I was growing up had strict dress codes and uniforms. They did not allow flip flop sandals to be worn and you could, in fact, get detention for doing so. I wore them anyway (partially hidden under long pants) and got away with it every time. Going to college in southern California fueled this flip flop obsession and I started wearing them constantly. New York winters slowed me down, but now they're back!
